Course Objective:
This course is intended to help the student learn digital citizenship, and the basics of computer concepts: keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, desktop publishing, digital sound, digital graphics, and Internet searching.
Objectives:
Students will:
Understand the concept of Digital Citizenship
creative rights and what they protect
social media using it the right way and wrong way
Perform tasks using Word
creating documents
formatting and editing tools
page formatting
create tables and columns
create charts
insert graphics
Perform tasks using Excel
create a workbook
create and use formulas and functions
create and build charts
Perform tasks using PowerPoint
learn basic presentation tools
develop a presentation
customizing a presentation
Materials needed:
USB/Memory Stick
Notebook
Pencil
Other supplies may be needed later
Homework Policy:
There is no homework assigned. Ample class time is available to complete assignments, if necessary because of absence or sickness, students may come in during Seminar or by arrangement made between student and teacher. Late assignments are not penalized if. Homework must be turned in no later than one week before the end of the grading period unless otherwise specified by the instructor.
